The Renaissance Players are doggone excited to present A Tuna Christmas in the Gaslight Dinner Theater this holiday season. A Tuna Christmas is set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, the “third-smallest” town in the state. The annual Christmas Yard Display contest is in full swing, but chaos ensues as a mysterious “Christmas Phantom” begins trashing the yard displays! The audience will meet several residents of Tuna, but there’s a catch. All of these rowdy townsfolk are portrayed by only two actors! “This show has 2 actors playing 22 characters with 256 costume changes,” says Brett Myers. He and Bryce Conner star in this fast-paced show portraying all of the characters in Tuna. “Bryce and I are excited to have a fun time with audiences, and hopefully spread some Christmas cheer-served up Tuna, TX style!” Bryce says, “For me, A Tuna Christmas is so much fun because I think we all know these personalities in real life! At the heart, Tuna Christmas is about poking fun at (sometimes dysfunctional) families and communities that we know and love. And men unconvincingly dressed as women.” Catering will be provided by The Front Porch of Dickson.
